I normally use my miles, however, I currently have quite a few miles from CC's that I don't normally fly with and/or use due to prices right now. I contacted a few sites and sellmymiles gave me a fair offer for my Alaskan miles. I was nervous as can be, have to give them account info of course to my Alaskan account, but they verified me, called me from a number I can verify with Google, explained things to me, and paid me via PayPal in like 5 minutes after they agreed to purchase the miles. The only thing they ask is that you don't change the password until the flights have been completed which is fine. So far very impressed.

Despite they asked me my passport copy, they denied my United MileagePlus miles trading for cash. They asked all kinds of questions including security questions and password, plus a copy of passport. Then they said that they could not verify the identity. I am using United MileagePlus credit card for years, used to fly 50 times a year before Covid. I am wondering the possibility that they just want to have all those kind of personal information, then deny the customer for the payment. Just be careful. If you are denied, I recommend to change the password immediately and monitor your account closely.
